About Oakwood Manor Elementary
Welcome to Oakwood Manor Elementary! The staff is thrilled that you have entrusted your child’s education to us. It is our goal to create an enriched learning environment that engages each child at OWM. Oakwood Manor Elementary has excellent teaching staff with a wealth of knowledge and outstanding support staff who work in different capacities to support your child’s learning. Whether this is your first year at OWM or you are an OWM veteran, please know that we need and welcome your support and cooperation.
Please welcome Britany Harris, our new principal coming into the 26-27 School Year.

My name is Britany Harris and I am the new principal of Oakwood Manor Elementary, and I am so excited to begin making connections with everyone. Prior to serving this community, I have spent 15 years in various roles across North Kansas City Schools including teaching at Eastgate Middle School and Gracemor Elementary, serving as the Teaching and Learning Coach at Gateway 6th Grade Center, the Assistant Principal at Chapel Hill Elementary, and most recently as the Principal at Gracemor Elementary. I have my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Northwest Missouri State University (Go Bearcats!) and my Educational Specialist's Degree from Arkansas State University.
I really value communication and clarity and look forward to partnering with you this year as we work to collaboratively work together to help your child to meet their goals.
I know that this year may have some challenges with being in a new location at the Norclay building at North Kansas City High School campus, but we are all committed to ensuring that it is still a fun and memorable school year for our students. We cannot wait to welcome you back to our updated Oakwood Manor Elementary School with our return to the building in the spring of 2027. Please do not hesitate to reach out if I can help you with anything along the way!
Go Owls!
